Who We Are
Kellie Hinkle is the founder and CEO of Brightside Advisors, a consulting firm focused on nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. With a professional portfolio spanning more than two decades, she has extensive experience collaborating with organizations to develop compelling strategies, cultivate enduring systems and processes, propel significant change, and foster continuous learning and improvement. Kellie’s areas of expertise include operational excellence, strategic planning, program development and implementation, fostering a data-driven culture, and transforming HR practices to empower organizations and employees.
Kellie previously served as the President of Code Nation, a national technology education nonprofit, where she managed the regional offices nationwide, oversaw organizational expansion efforts, and led all organizational internal functions, including operations, finance, IT, and human resources. Prior to Code Nation, she was the Senior Vice President of District Engagement & Data Experience at City Year, a national education organization, where she steered all aspects of educational strategy and partnerships and brought in $50 million in public revenue annually, led the design of an organizational data culture grounded in curiosity and inquiry, and spearheaded the creation and implementation of equitable organizational policies and practices.
Kellie holds an MBA from University of the People, a Certificate of Education Finance from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, an Effective School Board Governance Certificate from Colorado State University, and a Senior Certified Professional credential from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). She is also President of her local school board in NJ, a member of the New Jersey School Boards Association’s School Finance Committee, and Board Treasurer for Railtowns.org.
